— A staple of the WIS-TV scene, Taylor Kearns has been telling stories in and around the Midlands for seven years.

On Friday, Kearns announced via Twitter that it would be his last day with the news station.

“To my friends, followers and trolls: Today will be my last with WIS-TV. Spending more than 7 years telling stories here...” Kearns tweeted.

When asked by several of his 1,633 followers what he’ll be doing, he tweeted that he would be staying in Columbia for the short term and exploring new opportunities.

During his seven years with WIS-TV, Kearns served as a photographer, videographer, writer and editor.
