Fire damages popular Indian restaurant in Columbia

Fire Tuesday night damages Punjabi Dhaba Indian Restaurant at 1201 Bush River Road

— Fire Tuesday night damaged the Punjabi Dhaba Indian Restaurant at 1201 Bush River Road.

The call came in around 10:20 pm, fire department spokesman Brick Lewis said. Fire fighters from Columbia, Irmo and Lexington County responded to the alarm.

First reports indicated there were no injuries from the blaze. No dollar amount of the damage was determined as of late Tuesday.

The Richland County Fire Marshall is investigating, Lewis said.
