Monday letters: Why do people go to bars? Duh!

February 10, 2014

Columbia, SC The subhead of Jamie Self’s Jan. 24 story about guns in bars said, “Measure would permit concealed weapons as long as owner doesn’t drink.” Duh. Why do people go to bars?

Second duh: How’s the bartender to know if the person is carrying if the weapon is concealed?

Maybe one of our “enlightened” state legislators can answer my questions.
