Sheriff’s Dept: Fatal stabbing on Farrow Road sparked by drugs and money

February 11, 2014

— A fight over money and drugs escalated into a double stabbing Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo bank at 8800 Farrow Road, Richland County Sheriff Sgt Curtis Wilson said.

Both men were taken to the hospital where one has died as a result of his wound(s). The condition of the other person is not known, Wilson said.

Authorities were called to the scene around 5:15 pm Tuesday.

One of the men was on scene. The other, who died at the hospital, had driven away and was located by authorities in his vehicle less than two miles away on the 2100 lock of LeGrand Road.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident to determine who was responsible for the fight.
