— Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman has identified the 40-year-old driver who was killed late Tuesday when his 2000 Chevy pickup truck ran off the road and overturned.

Norman T. Martin Jr. of Swansea lost control of his vehicle and was ejected.

Martin died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred at 10:40 p.m. on Sharon Church Road.

Hannah Wimberley of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said Martin was alone in the truck and driving east on the two lane road near Gaston.

The pickup ran off the west side of the road and overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt, Wimberley said.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
