— More details have emerged about next week's fundraiser in Columbia held by a political action committee that wants former First Lady Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016.

The invitation from Ready for Hillary says: "Come learn about Ready for Hillary and how you can build our grassroots movement in your community. Let's show Hillary that South Carolina is ready for her to run for president in 2016!"

S.C. Rep. Bakari Sellers, a Bamberg Democrat who supported Barack Obama's presidential run in 2008 against Clinton, is listed as the host for the Feb. 20 event at 701 Whaley.

Quentin James, a Greenville native who worked on Obama's presidential campaign and is now Ready for Hillary's black Americans director, is coming to the fundraiser.

Other guests on the invitation include several prominent African-American state lawmakers: Sens. Darryl Jackson, Karl Allen and Marlon Kimpson and Reps. Mia McLeod, Bill Clyburn, Harold Mitchell and Terry Alexander.

Other co-hosts listed are: Jonathan Metcalf Abe Jenkins, Jovene Milligan, Melissa Watson, Everette Chandler, Michael Brown, Chris Lindsay, Jr., Kendal Corley, Jill Fletcher, Candy Fletcher, Kaye Lingle Koonce, Michael Thompson, Bridget Tripp, Antjuan Seawright and Derrick Quarles.

Tickets cost $20.16.

Clinton has not announced whether she will run, but the former Secretary of State leads most early polls of probable 2016 Democratic candidates.
