— According to the Newberry County Sheriff's Office, three train cars derailed at the intersection of Colony Church Road and Highway 76 just after 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.

No injuries were reported.

The train cars were carrying paper. According to the Sheriff's Office there is no threat to the surrounding community.

US 76 reopened Tuesday around 1 p.m. after delays in righting the rail cars and cleaning up from the derailment closed one eastbound lane for safety reasons, according to the Newberry County Sheriff's Office.
