Two teens charged with making hoax device

Laurens County hoax device

— A pair of Laurens County teens have been charged after a suspicous device was found in a yard.

Allen Michael Tucker, 17, of Clinton and a 15-year-old juvenile have been charged with manfacturing a hoax device. According to a picture provided by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, the device was a jar with wires attached.

Tucker was transported to the Johnson Detention Center. The juvenile, who was not named, was turned over to the S.C. Department of Justice and transported to Columbia.
