Funeral services will be held Saturday for a Dutch Fork student stabbed to death this week after a basketball game.
Da'Von Noel Nathaniel Capers will be remembered at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Nazareth Baptist Church, 2351 Gervais St., Columbia, with a burial to follow in Lincoln Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Leevy's Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel.
Capers, a former football player at Dutch Fork, died after being stabbed in Lexington Monday night.
Surviving are his parents, Laronzo and Charlene Nathaniel Capers; sister, Cherelle Capers and a brother, Byron Capers; grandmother, Birtie V. Nathaniel; six aunts; eight uncles; nine great-aunts; and seven great-uncles.
A 2013 Lexington High School graduate has been charged with murder in the case.
Autopsy results concluded that Capers bled to death due to perforation of heart and liver as a result of being stabbed in the chest, Lexington County chief deputy coroner Randy Martin said Thursday.
