— The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a man and a vehicle captured on surveillance video in connection with a trailer theft.

Sheriff Leon Lott said an unknown suspect stole a black 10-foot wood bed tow trailer, valued at $1,200, just before 10 p.m. Feb. 8 at 139 Thorn Tree Lane.

According to Sheriff Lott, a white male who was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, red hat, blue jeans and white tennis shoes was captured on the home’s video surveillance. The suspect was driving a blue or green newer model Ford Explorer or Expedition, which can also be seen in the video.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
