Cat video lovers rejoice: Harbison Theatre to host celebration of the internet’s most famous felines

Grumpy Cat. Lil Bub. Henri le Chat Noir. If you recognize these names, you might be an online cat video addict.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Feline videos and memes have become such a popular phenomenon that the craze earned itself an annual festival in Minneapolis.

Now, Columbia is getting in on the action with Harbison Theatre’s presentation of “You Can Haz Cheezburger: The Art of Online Cat Videos,” 7:30 p.m. March 21 at 7300 College St., Irmo.

The production is a mix of video and live performances and will feature parts of the famous reel from the aforementioned Internet Cat Video Festival.

Local kitties will have their own chance to be stars; you can upload your crazy cat videos and photos to for possible use in the production.
