Bar fight leaves one dead, two hospitalized

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC An early morning bar fight that spilled outside erupted in gunfire early Saturday, killing an Eastover man and sending two others to the hospital.

Richland County coroner Gary Watts identified the dead man as Travis C. Singleton, 28, of Sandhills Estates in Eastover.

Richland County authorities were called to the Club Climax at 3500 McCords Ferry Road in Eastover around 3 am, sheriff’s department spokesman Curtis Wilson said. Singleton lay dead in the parking lot. Two other victims had been driven to Palmetto Richland Hospital. Their conditions were not known, Wilson said. Witnesses said the fatal shooting started out as a verbal altercation inside the club. When it moved outside, shots were fired.
