BUZZ: Bill Clinton scheduled for Greenville visit in April

Posted by ANDREW SHAIN on March 3, 2014

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled tentatively to come to Greenville next month to speak at an event for the Furman University's Riley Institute, former Gov. Dick Riley said Monday.

Riley said he does not expect Clinton to make any other stops in South Carolina.

Clinton is slated to appear at 7 p.m. April 8 at The Peace Center, Riley said.

The public will be invited. Proceeds raised from ticket sales would go toward the Riley Institute's endowment fund.

The institute offers programs in government, politics, and public leadership.

Riley was Clinton's secretary of education during his two terms in the White House from 1993-2001. Riley was governor from 1979-1987.
