Camera catches suspect in ski mask robbing store employee at gunpoint

— Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for the community’s assistance to identify a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

Sheriff Lott said the suspect entered the Hickory Point Gas Station at 101 Lee Road around 4:30 a.m. Sunday and pointed a gun at a store employee.

The suspect gave the employee a gym bag with a red draw string and demanded it be filled with money Sheriff Lott said.

The suspect, who was captured on video surveillance wearing a black ski mask, light-colored T-shirt, dark pants with a white stripe down both sides and dark shoes, took the money and ran away.
