Boil water advisory issued for Chapin neighborhood

March 4, 2014

— A broken 8-inch water main has prompted the City of Columbia Water Works to issue a boil water advisory for some residents of the Eagle Pointe subdivision in Chapin .

People living on Eagle Point Drive and Wingspan Way should vigorously boil their water for at least 60 seconds before drinking, using it to make ice or in food preparation.

Anyone who lives near the affected area that has noticed reduced water pressure should follow the same precautions. until Columbia Water works gives the all-clear for consuming the water.
