Richland County Rain Barrel and Compost Bin Sale: Richland County’s Sustainability Office has teamed up with Keep the Midland’s Beautiful, Carolina Clear and Columbia to offer rain barrels and compost bins at reduced prices. Rain barrels are $60 each and compost bins are $50 each. 67th Annual Plantation Tours: Tour many of Georgetown’s historic homes, March 28-29. Sponsored by the Women of Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church. Single-day tickets are $40 and two-day tickets are $70. Advance tickets are on sale through March 14; requests for tickets may be mailed to Mrs. Lee B. Jones, P.O. Box 1307, Georgetown, SC 29442. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door both days. The tour will begin at the Church Parish Hall, 300 Broad St., Georgetown, where participants can pick up maps, brochures and lunch bags.
