At St. Augustine, Fla., South Carolina wrapped its weekend at the North Florida Invitational with a split of its two matches.

After falling 5-0 to No. 9 Florida International, the Gamecocks (2-2) defeated Florida Atlantic 4-1.

USC women finish fifth

At Hilton Head Island, South Carolina shot a 12-over 296 at Long Cove Club and finished the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in fifth place, which is the highest finish for the Gamecocks in the event. Junior Justine Dreher and senior Samantha Swinehart both fired a 1-over 72 in the final round to finish at 6-over and 7-over, respectively. Dreher finished in a tie for 12th while Swinehart tied for 15th.
