— A fourth member of Sumter pastor Larry Durant’s congregation, a 16-year-old girl, has stepped forward and accused Durant of sexually assaulting her during ‘private sessions of prayer’ at Durant’s Word International Ministries church between November 2012 and April 2013.

The 59-year-old minister was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct 3rd degree when he turned himself in to authorities Tuesday morning, Sumter Police said.

In June 2013, Durant was charged with multiple counts of illegal sexual misconduct after three members of his church, including one minor, said he had coerced them into having sex with them, telling them that it was part of ‘the healing process’ and ‘private prayer.’

He was also charged with forgery after allegedly forging the name of one of the victim’s grandmothers on a Quit Claim Deed and filing it with the Sumter County Register of Deeds office, police said.

Police continue to investigate the charges against Durant. A trial date has not been set.
