Second suspect arrested in Richland County home invasion shooting death

— A 19-year-old Columbia man has been charged with murder in connection to a home invasion February 4th at 8515 Brookfield Road near Richland Northeast High School. A man in the home at the time of the invasion, 29-year-old Tresvon Coker, was shot during the attack. and died nearly 3 weeks later at the hospital, from that wound the coroner ruled.

Kemani Devonte Archie was arrested at his mother’s house on Tuesday. He’s the second person charged in the February 4 fatal home invasion. He’s an acquaintance of the other suspect in the case, said Richland County Sheriff Department spokesman Curtis Wilson. Stanley Jones, 26, was arrested in Norfolk, Virginia March 5th. Jones is accused of committing several violent crimes beginning in December 2013.Archie, however, does not appear to be implicated in the other crimes, Wilson said.
