Third arrest made in deadly Brookfield Road home invasion

— A third suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a home invasion on Feb. 4 at 8515 Brookfield Road, which is near Richland Northeast High School.

Donald Lamar Kelley, 22, was arrested after Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies received significant leads from the Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Task Force.

Kemani Devonte Archie, 19, was the second person arrested in connection with the crime. Archiewas arrested at his mother’s house Tuesday.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Stanley Jones, 26, who was also wanted in connection with the home invasion, was caught last week in a Norfolk Virginia hotel. Jones was arrested without incident, Sheriff Lott said.

Police say a man in the home at the time of the invasion, 29-year-old Tresvon Coker, was shot during the attack. Coker died nearly three weeks later at Palmetto Health Richland

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Coker died from complications of a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Sheriff Lott said Jones, Kelley and Archie went to the home specifically to steal money and drugs. Jones was captured on outside video surveillance.

Sheriff Lott said Jones shot Coker upon entering the home.
