Two suspects sought after propane tank theft

— Deputies are looking for two suspects after 15 propane tanks were taken from a Columbia gas station.

Two suspects drove a white Chevrolet Blazer to the Exxon on Rabon Road, cut open the lock on the propane exchange station and stole the tanks, according to a press release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspects were caught on camera.

Sheriff Leon Lott asked that anyone who has information should call, email or text your anonymous tip to Crimestoppers. Tips leading to arrest could be rewarded with up to $1,000.

In mid-February, 14 propane gas tanks from the Exxon at 5820 Fairfield Road, which is six miles away from this week’s crime.
