Camden Police: 2 women try to return then steal $208 of merchandise

— Camden Police say they are looking for two women accused of unsuccessfully trying to return stolen merchandise to a local Walmart then taking the items without paying.

Two women entered Walmart at 2240 West Dekalb Street in Camden around 11:30 a.m. Sunday and filled a shopping cart with jewelry and handbags valued at $208, according to an incident report.

Police say the suspects took the merchandise to the service desk and tried to return it all but were denied.

The women then left the store with the merchandise without paying for any of it, according to the incident report.

Police say the two women left the store in a 1998 Mercury Sable with the License Tag 4413GN.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
