COLUMBIA, SC The South Carolina Highway Patrol is working a couple accidents in the east and west bound lanes of I-20 between the I-76 interchange and Clemson Road which have backed up traffic.

On I-20 westbound, all lanes are closed 1 mile east of the I-77 interchange (exit 76) because of an accident.

On I-20 eastbound, 1 mile east of the interchange with I-77, an accident has closed the left lane.

The highway patrol suggests you seek alternative routes.

This is an area of the interstate that has seen lane shifts because of a major construction /widening project for many months.
