— The City of Columbia Water Works has lifted Tuesday’s boil water advisory issued for customers in the 1500 block of Wyndham Road, which is off Trenholm Road in Richland County.

The City of Columbia experienced a six-inch water main break, which could possibly have resulted in bacterial contamination of the water.

Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples indicate the system is safe for drinking and cooking purposes, according to a press release.

Anyone with quesitons may call the City of Columbia Customer Care Calle Center at (803) 545-3300.
