Circus is in town

Sportsmen’s Classic

The 30th annual Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic at the State Fairgrounds begins Friday and continues through Sunday. Discover the latest in fishing, outdoors and hunting in South Carolina. Seminars are throughout the weekend. Troy Landry from “Swamp People” will be there Saturday and Sunday. Noon- 8 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Carolina Cup

The 82nd running of the Carolina Cup at Springdale Race Course in Camden is a spring favorite, drawing thousands for an afternoon of steeplechase horse racing and tailgate parties.
