Suspect sought in Broad River Road robbery

— Deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Broad River Road gas station last week.

Shortly before 10 a.m. March 25, at the Kangaroo station at 806 Broad River Road, a suspect jumped on the counter as an employee opened the register, he Richland County Sheriff’s Department said in a release. The suspect stole cash and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a white short-sleeve over a white long sleeve shirt, faded jeans, and a goatee.

Sheriff Leon Lott is asking the public to help by sending tips to Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC. You could receive up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
