— A man who robbed a Two Notch Road business and assaulted an employee is wanted by Richland County sheriff’s deputies.

Just before 11 p.m. March 23, at the Burger King on 8501 Two Notch, the suspect entered the business, presented a gun and demanded money, according to a release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect assaulted one of the employees in the upper body, using the gun, according to the release.

After taking money from the cash register, the suspect demanded money from the safe. When the employees explained they weren’t able to open it, the suspect threatened to shoot them. That’s when two employees fought with the suspect, who dropped the gun during the fight and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black hoodie, and blue jeans.

Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with tips can call Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC. You can receive up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
