People checking out Midlands art, artists – and artists’ workspaces – during Open Studios

— Amy Mattison of West Columbia was touring artists’ studios with her folks and enjoying the venues as much as the art.

“I'm so glad I came in here,” she said after visiting the Wiggins & Fiveash Studio in the historic Arcade on Columbia's Main Street. “It's a stunning building. Must be fabulous to work here.”

Mattison was impressed by the variety of art on the Open Studios tour, which features 46 Midlands artists and continues on Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m.
