It’s a small world, after all

TARTAN DAY SOUTH: Running through Sunday at the Riverwalk Park Amphitheater, Meeting Street and Alexander Road, West Columbia; and the Historic Columbia Speedway, 2001 Charleston Highway, Cayce. Highland Games and Celtic Festival, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Speedway, will feature games, music, marketplace, traditional Celtic foods, children’s play area, Highland dancing, sheep herding, falconry and hurling exhibitions, British Classics car show. Tickets are $10; ages 5-12, $5; age 4 and younger free; two-day adult pass, $20. Kirkin’ of the Tartans, 11 a.m. Sunday at the Amphitheater; free. http://www.tartandaysouth.com

Let’s make the city safe

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT FOR PEACE: 5 p.m. Sunday at Finlay Park, 930 Laurel St. Candlelight vigil and memorial calling for an end to the youth violence in our city. Hear from victims and families affected as part of National Youth Violence Prevention Week.
