— A moped rider died Saturday after a collision involving a Jeep Cherokee, the S.C. Highway Patrol reported Sunday.

The daylight crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Woodham Road, said Sgt. Bob Beres.

The Jeep was driven by Justin Haluck, 19, who was uninjured, Beres said.

Not much is known about the crash except the two vehicles were going in opposite directions on Woodham Road when it happened, Beres said.

The incident remains under investigation, he said.
