— Charleston developer Pat McKinney received endorsements Monday from six state and local lawmakers in his GOP bid for lieutenant governor, his campaign said.

The political newcomer with ties to Gov. Nikki Haley picked up support from: Sen. Kevin Bryant, R-Anderson; Rep. Eric Bedingfield R-Greenville; Rep. Joshua Putnam, R-Anderson; Rep. Mark Willis, R-Greenville; Greenville County Council Chairman Bob Taylor; and Greenville City Council Councilwoman Amy Ryberg Doyle.

McKinney faces Columbia businessman Mike Campbell, former state attorney general Henry McMaster and Columbia minister Ray Moore for the GOP nomination on June 10. McMaster and Campbell, the son late Gov. Carroll Campbell also have ties to Haley.

Republican incumbent Lt. Gov. Glenn McConnell is not running. He was named president of the College of Charleston.
