Highly-coveted LB Roquan Smith of Montezuma, GA will attend Clemson's spring game Saturday and visit USC April 18th. Smith is in the process of narrowing his list, though he does not want to comment on the schools remaining on his list, and plans to use these two trips to get a closer look at Clemson and USC.
"Coach (Brent) Venables and I are just getting to know each other better and we talk a lot," Smith said. "Same thing with coach (Kirk) Botkin. We just talked today and scheduled my visit."
Smith has several other schools he plans to visit this summer including Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and Ole Miss among others.
The Georgia linebacker has gotten a lot of attention from Mark Richt including the sketch art note sent to him by the the Bulldogs' head coach depicting Smith wearing a uniform that is half Georgia and half his high school team.
Though impressed, Smith said, "It was really cool but I'm not one of those guys that has to stay in his home-state."
He did not name any of his leaders but said that Clemson and USC are very much in the picture.
