Chalmers will hit up Clemson this weekend

April 9, 2014

DB Kaleb Chalmers of Greenwood is being rumored around the Internet as a strong Clemson lean and a possible commitment waiting to happen at Saturday's spring game. Chalmers does plan to attend the game with his parents but said a commitment isn't likely.

"I'm going to visit the school and talk to the coaches again," Chalmers said. "I hear from them pretty often. I don't really have a favorite. Everyone is even. I really don't know when I'll make a decision. It will probably be later on in the spring."

Chalmers has picked up recent offers from Wake Forest, Virginia and Washington State. He also has offers from USC, North Carolina, Duke, Stanford, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and others. His most recent recruiting trip was to Tennessee for a junior day. He did stop by Clemson and USC last month with his seven on seven team.

Chalmers said he hears from USC "every now and then." He wants to visit USC and Tennessee again and also wants to visit Georgia. USC is recruiting him as a safety while Clemson has not designated a position for him in the secondary.
