Former mayor takes council seat in Eastover

— Eastover’s former mayor defeated an incumbent council member in Tuesday’s Eastover town elections.

Leroy Faber will be seated on Town Council May 5, along with Odell Weston, who was re-elected.

Faber defeated Judith Bailey, who had served on the council since 2012.

Unofficial results showed Faber the day’s top vote-getter with 93 votes. Weston got 85 votes, with Bailey and Pamela Sumter rounding out the ballot.
