No pings allowed at KRC tournament

The crack of a tradition bat striking a baseball will be heard again in the Midlands during the Kershar-Richland Classic spring break tournament at Richland Northeast, Ridge View and Camden’s Legion Field.

The special wood bat tournament begins Monday and runs through Thursday’s final placement at Legion Field.

The KRC schedule:


Camden: Camden vs. South Florence, 5 p.m.; Lugoff-Elgin vs. Lower Richland, 7:30 p.m. Richland: Westwood at Richland NE, 5 p.m.; Dutch Fork at Ridge View, 5 p.m.


Camden: Lugoff-Elgin vs. South Florence, 5 p.m.; Camden vs. Lower Richland, 7:30 p.m. Richland: Dutch Fork at Richland NE, 5 p.m.; Westwood at Ridge View, 5 p.m.


Camden: Lugoff-Elgin vs. Camden, 7:30 p.m.; South Florence vs. Lower Richland, 2:30 p.m. Richland: Ridge View at Richland NE, 7:30 p.m.; Westwood vs. Dutch Fork at RNE, 5 p.m.


Camden: Kershaw No. 4 vs. Richland No. 4, 11 a.m.; Kershaw No. 3 vs. Richland No. 3, 1:30 p.m.; Kershaw No. 2 vs. Richland No. 2, 4:30 p.m.; Kershaw No. 1 vs. Richland No. 1, 7 p.m.
