25-year-old killed in Lexington Co. motorcycle crash

— A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his vehice ran off the road and struck a tree.

Jacob Aaron Rodgers crashed on Westwoods Drive between Prosperity and Chapin around 10 p.m. Friday, according to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office. The crash was not discovered until 9 a.m. Saturday.

The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was traveling west on a 2005 motorcycle when he ran off the left side of the road and struck the tree, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol.
