Chalmers jumps in with the Tigers

April 12, 2014

Earlier in the week, Greenwood DB Kaleb Chalmers 5-11 170) wasn't sure if he would make a commitment to Clemson while visiting for today's spring game. He's sure now committing to the Tigers soon after arriving on campus this afternoon.

"Clemson is a really good school and it's close to home," Chalmers said earlier this year. The Tigers have not told him if they like him for corner or safety.

Chalmers also had offers from USC, North Carolina, Duke, Stanford, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia and Washington State. Clemson had been showing the strongest interest in Chalmers and was one of his early offers going back to last summer.

Last season Chalmers had 80 tackles with 4 interceptions and he broke up 12 passes.

Chalmers is Clemson's third commitment of the week and ninth for the 2015 class.
