DUTCH FORK: Bluffton awaits

The No. 4 Silver Foxes, who were District 8 runners-up in 2013, could represent the Lower State but will have to get past Bluffton, the top seed in District 8.

GILBERT: Indians on a roll

Gilbert (22-4) is on a seven-win streak. Led by pitchers Lyndie Dorgan and Gabby Keisler, the Indians want another shot at the Class 3A Lower State bracket.

CHAPIN: Eagles on hot streak

The Eagles (22-3) put together back-to-back wins heading into the playoffs, and could use that momentum to improve on last year’s 1-2 district finish.

PELION: Home field helps

Although the Panthers wrapped the regular season with consecutive losses, they open Class 2A district competition at home.

BLYTHEWOOD: Bengals want

district title

Katie Chappell and Ashlee Romanik lead the No. 1-seeded Bengals (13-6) as they try to win the District 2 title. Blythewood was District 4 runner-up in 2013.
