US Sen Ted Cruz, R-Texas

JIM COLE — AP

I beg to differ with Baron Hanson’s April 3 letter, “Cruz has what it takes to lead U.S.”

Yes, Sen. Ted Cruz is highly educated, but so were Hitler and Castro, and look what happened to all of the people who blindly followed them. I submit that Mr. Cruz is a con man. He has one goal, and that is to be president.

He will go down in history as being one of the greatest politicians and worst lawmakers who ever lived. He proved that by being instrumental in helping shut down our federal government and costing taxpayers billions of dollars as well as putting 850,000 people out of work; some “razor-sharp Texan,” as Mr. Hanson refers to Ted Cruz.

I believed Mr. Cruz missed his calling. He would have made a fine pastry chef, or maybe a proctologist, but a lawmaker or president of the greatest country on earth, not in a million years.
