LCRAC Basketball Camp: 9 a.m.-noon June 23-27 at the Ball Park Road Gym. Open to ages 6-12. Cost is $55. (803) 957-7828

Dreher Basketball Skills Academy: 8-11 a.m. June 30-July 3 at the Dreher High School Gymnasium, 3319 Millwood Ave. Open to rising 5th-9th grade boys. Cost is $75 and includes a T-shirt. For more information, contact Jeff DiBattisto at (803) 253-7000, ext. 2004;


Aberdeen Cup Polo Match: 1 p.m. May 18 at Camden Polo Field, 801 Lyttleton St., Camden. Gates open at 11 a.m. General admission is $15. Tailgate parking is $100 (includes two general admission tickets). Tickets may be purchased the day of the match or at the Chronicle-Independent, 909 W. DeKalb St., Camden.


Cones for the Cure 5K: 7:30 a.m. Saturday, beginning at the corner of Trenholm Road and Country Club Drive (park at Baskin Robbins). Ice cream will be given out at the post-race party. Registration is $25 through Friday and $30 on race day. Proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society;

Jailbreak 5K Run and Walk: 8 a.m. May 24 at the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington. Registration is $25 in advance or $30 on race day. (803) 799-4786;

Run Red Bank: May 31 at the Lexington Family YMCA, 401 YMCA Road, Lexington. Run or walk a 5K or 12K. A $75 prize will be award to the men’s and women’s winners.

Tom Hoskins Memorial Sprint Triathlon: July 26 at the NorthWest Family YMCA, 1501 Kennerly Road, Irmo. This triathlon and duathlon includes a 350-yard swim in an indoor pool, a 13-mile bike race and a 5K ending at the Y’s Splash Pad.
