— A 55-year-old man faces multiple charges after a Monday chase on Broad River Road and Interstate 20.

Joseph Cutro is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, driving under suspension, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights.

Acting on a tip Monday, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s narcotics unit received information that Cutro would be picking up narcotics. Investigators attempted to conduct a traffic stop for displaying improper tags at Broad River and Dutch Square roads, according to a press release.

Cutro refused to stop, and a chase ensued along Broad River to North Main, and then onto I-20 westbound.

Cutro was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
