UPDATE: Missing Richland County teen with medical condition found

RICHLAND COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

— A 17-year-old who was the subject of a missing person report by the RIchland County Sheriff’s Department, has been found, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

Breanna Casapit, who has a ‘serious medical condition’ was located and taken to a local hospital for observation, Lott said. No other details were provided.

PREVIOUS REPORTING:

Breanna Casapit hasn’t been seen since she left her home near Two Notch Road and Beltline Boulevard just before midnight on April 30, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

“Breanna retired to her room for the night around 10 p.m.,” Sheriff Leon Lott said. “She was heard leaving out of the back door close to midnight.”

She has been in contact with her family and caretakers, but won’t disclose her location, according to Lott

Lott said Casapit’s family is concerned because she is dealing with a very serious and possibly life threatening health condition.

Casapit was last seen wearing an orange shirt and white pants.
