MetLife Blimp spotted over Columbia Tuesday

— The MetLife Blimp was spotted near Owens Field around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Blimp is in transit, according to an Owens Field spokeswoman.

There are no scheduled appearances listed for this month on the MetLife website.

Metlife operates three airships: “Snoopy One,” “Snoopy Two,” and "Snoopy J."

They are mainly used to provide aerial coverage of sporting and special events. Special event requests can be made online.
