— A pro-U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham political group announced a new television ad touting the two-term senator's support for the U.S. military.

West Main Street Values PAC, run by former S.C. GOP chairman Katon Dawson and Lexington political consultant Walter Whetsell, spent nearly $80,000 on a broadcast and cable television ad saying Graham has fought to keep the military strong in a time when the nation faces "Islamic radicals" and enemies who "want to kill us."

West Main Street Values PAC has raised more than $425,000 in support of Graham's re-election, according to Starboard Communications, Whetsell's firm.

The Seneca incumbent faces six GOP challengers in the June 10 primary: Columbia pastor Det Bowers; state Sen. Lee Bright, R-Spartanburg; Easley businessman Richard Cash; Orangeburg attorney Bill Connor; Columbia attorney Benjamin Dunn; and Charleston PR executive Nancy Mace.
