BMW is hiring; Job fair Monday in Spartanburg

MAU Workforce Solutions said it will hold a job fair Monday to hire contract workers for job openings at BMW Manufacturing Co.

The job fair will take place at Spartanburg Community College’s Tyger River Campus at 1875 East Main St. in Duncan.

Those interested are encouraged to apply online before the job fair, and they must submit to a background check and drug screen. Applicants must also have one year of stable work history.

Positions available at BMW are for forklift operators and production associates.

Benefits include:

• $15-$16 an hour

The hiring comes as BMW is wrapping up a $900 million expansion project this year that coincides with the launch of the X4 sports activity coupe.

The German automaker announced in March another $1 billion expansion that will be completed in 2016 and add the X7 sports activity vehicle to the plant’s model lineup.
