Speedy Florida receiver could join Clemson's class

May 28, 2014

Clemson has made a living in recent years attracting flashy receivers from the Sunshine State and Friday the Tigers could land another. Deon Cain (6-1 190) of Tampa plans to announce his college decision at 2:30 PM Friday at his school and Clemson is among his favorites.

Also on his short list according to his coach Jayson Roberts are Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and LSU.

Clemson was one of Cain's early offers reaching out to him in December of 2013 and he has visited there. Clemson recruiters were on hand to watch Cain's spring game last week. He's also visited Florida several times.

Cain also plays quarterback and LSU is the only one of his favorites to offer him for that position. Last season he passed for 1945 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for 731 yards and four scores.
