COLUMBIA, SC — A 51-year-old Gaston man has been charged in a four-count indictment for trafficking counterfeit medications.
Arthur Fleming Moler was indicted by a Columbia jury on charges of trafficking in counterfeit goods, copyright infringement, smuggling and theft of government funds, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles.
He faces 20 years in prison and a fine of $2 million, if convicted.
The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Postal Service and is assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorney T. DeWayne Pearson of the Columbia office for prosecution.
