Clemson rumored as favorite for Ferrell

June 3, 2014

DE Clelin Ferrell (6-5 220) of Richmond will announce his college choice Wednesday afternoon around 3:15. Clemson and USC are among his finalists and some internet recruiting analysts are reporting Clemson is his likely choice. \

USC was the first SEC school to offer Ferrell and he visited last summer.

“They’re different (than other schools) because they’re telling me how they can develop me at defensive end and it’s basically defensive end U,” Ferrell said after that visit. “They’re also my first SEC offer so that means a lot to me.”

Ferrell visited Clemson for the spring game.

“They are a really good school with a good foundation and really strong in the ACC,” he said. “I know Da’Quan Bowers played there so they’ve had good players play defensive end, too.”

Ferrell also has Virginia Tech, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee on his final list. He says he’s known where he wants to go for the past two months.
