— The City of Columbia Water Works has issued a boil water advisory for customers on Ivy Garden Lane and Trellis Lane, which is located in the Ivy Green Subdivision. The subdivision is slightly north of Irmo.

Customers should boil their water for one full minute prior to drinking or cooking. Any residents in the affected area who have lost water or water pressure should also boil their water.

The City of Columbia experienced an eight-inch water main break, which could possibly result in the bacterial contamination of the water.

They City of Columbia Water Works is working to correct the problem.

Anyone with questions may call the City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center at 803-545-3300.
