— A band that had its van, trailer and thousands of dollars in equipment stolen from a Cayce hotel over the weekend is back on the road, but without their instruments.

Larry and his Flask, a Oregon-based band with six members, were victims on a robbery in the early morning hours Saturday. The band's white van and white trailer — filled with musical equipment, instruments and merchandise — were stolen from the Riverside Inn on Knox Abbott Drive, according to an incident report from the Cayce Police Department.

The van, a 2010 Ford Econo/ Club Wagon E-350, was recovered Sunday on Old Leesburg Road near Harmon Road. It was damaged and could not be driven, but the band was able to get it repaired and get back on the road, making it to Florida by Monday.

The trailer and nearly $25,000 in equipment have not been recovered. The equipment includes a $5,000 drum kit, $5,000 in merchandise, a $1,500 wireless system, an upright base, several guitars, a banjo and other equipment.
